Hi, I'm Kayla - the energy behind the brand
I didn't start out planning to build a fitness business — I started out just trying to feel like myself again. After becoming a mom, I remember the moment I realized how much stronger I felt, not just physically but in everything else, once movement became part of my routine again. That feeling is what I want every woman who walks through my door to experience.
Over the past decade, I've coached women through every stage of life — new moms rebuilding their strength, women navigating new chapters after their kids leave home, and everyone in between. What I've learned is that the women who see the best results aren't the ones who go hardest for two weeks and burn out. They're the ones who build something sustainable — strength training paired with nutrition that actually fits their life, not a restrictive plan that falls apart the first busy week.
That's exactly why I started Sunny Side. I wanted to create a space — whether that's my private studio here in Youngsville, your own living room, or a video call — where fitness feels less like a chore and more like the best part of someone's day. No all-or-nothing mindset, no judgment, just real progress at a pace that actually works.
When I'm not coaching, you'll usually find me chasing around my two-year-old — which, honestly, might be the best strength training I do all week.
